Psalm 94:19

A good friend sent this verse to me:

Psalm 94:19 NASB
When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.

The Message renders it this way:
If God hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up.

Man, I know that there are days when my anxious thought well up inside of me, there are days where I can't find rest or sleep, there are most assuredly days when this first part is me to a "T," but notice what happens next. God's consolations delight our souls!!! Isn't that great!!! Unfortunately there is a problem with though, many of us do not seek God we just use Him like a handyman around our inner house. We only turn to Him when we need something, we only call on Him when something is broken and needs to be fixed. We don't lean on Him as we should, He wants to delight our souls. Man there sure are days most days that I need that consolation. Isn't God awesome!!!
