Pure Joy

James 1:2-3 says "consider is pure joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance." This fits hand in hand with yesterdays scripture in Philippians 1:21 "For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake," We often believe that sufferings are altogether a bad thing, yet as we see here they can and should be used to benefit God's Glory!!! This will be a short post as it was a long sermon yesterday. We don't need to go looking for sufferings, yet at the same time we should consider it "pure joy" as we are growing in our faith and glorifying Christ!!! So the next time you are going through a particular struggle look at how to glorify Christ, and at the same time listen to the gentle breeze.
